“Tune Your Heart, Not God’s Ear.”
There is a question many believers quietly wrestle with...
"Why aren't my prayers being answered?"
The answer may not be that God is silent. It may be that He is bringing your desires into harmony with His will by teaching you to pray from His perspective instead of your own.
"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us... we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."1 John 5:14–15
Think about a radio. If the station isn't coming in clearly, we don't assume the radio tower has stopped broadcasting. We know the signal is still there. The problem is that the receiver needs adjusting.
Prayer often works the same way. God is not distant nor is He withholding His voice. He is not struggling to hear us. His signal has never weakened. The question is... Is my heart tuned to His will?
Sometimes we spend more time asking God to adjust His plans than allowing Him to adjust our hearts. Persistent prayer is not about convincing God. It is about being transformed until our desires begin to reflect His desires.
When our prayers are rooted in His glory rather than our comfort... When what we ask Him, flows from obedience instead of impulse... When our motives are surrendered instead of self-centered... We discover that God has been responding all along.
But surrender does not always mean immediate answers.
Sometimes God works through the waiting. The delay becomes a place where faith is strengthened, motives are refined, and trust is deepened.
Don't confuse delay with denial. Keep bringing your requests before Him not because He needs to be convinced, but because persistence keeps our hearts connected to His.
As we grow closer to God's will, our confidence in prayer deepens, our faith strengthens, and we recognize that the Father has been listening from the beginning.
Today, don't just ask God to hear your prayer.
Ask Him to tune your heart until it beats with His.
Pause. Listen. Discern. Build.
