Prophetic Pause with Dr. K:
Not Everything God Does Should Be Announced Immediately
“And Jesus said to him, ‘See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.’”
Matthew 8:4 (NKJV)
As I was reading through the Gospel of Matthew, I noticed something that caused me to pause.
Several times after Jesus healed someone, He would say, “See that you tell no one.” Yet many of those who were healed immediately spread the news everywhere.
At first glance, it seems surprising. After all, if you had been blind, paralyzed, or diseased and Jesus healed you, how could you possibly keep quiet?
But perhaps Jesus was teaching something much deeper than silence.
He was teaching the importance of timing.
Jesus was never driven by popularity, public demand, or the excitement of the crowd. He moved according to the Father’s timing. He understood that premature publicity can interfere with divine process.
That made me wonder…
How often do we announce what God is still developing?
How often do we share the promise before we’ve walked through the process?
Not every testimony is meant to be shared immediately. Some miracles need time to mature. Some assignments need protection. Some revelations are meant to remain hidden until God’s appointed moment.
Sometimes wisdom says, “Guard it.”
There are seasons when God says:
* Protect what I’m growing.
* Don’t expose what I’m establishing.
* Let the fruit become evident before you announce the seed.
There is a difference between celebrating what God has done and prematurely publicizing what God is still unfolding.
May we become people who are just as committed to God’s timing as we are to God’s miracles.
Prophetic Pause: Is there something in your life that God is asking you to steward quietly before He reveals it publicly?
“There is… a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.” — Ecclesiastes 3:7
“Remember… a prophetic pause today can prevent a spiritual detour tomorrow. This is Dr. K reminding you to Pause. Listen. Receive. Then Move in what God has said.”
